BACTEST Closes £900k Funding Round

Bactest creates new company for Health Sector
Bactest has created a wholly owned subsidiary to exploit its proprietory platform CYTOMAIA in the Human Health Sector. The new company GEMINI Diagnostics Ltd will focus on human clinical applications of CYTOMAIA.

People
The management team includes one of the original founders, Mr Derek Price, with many years experience of innovation and development within multi national companies.
Appointments in 2010 include Prof. Annie Brooking (CEO), Prof. Alan Barrell(Director), and in 2011 Mr Andrew Taylor (Finance).
These new appointments reflect the change of emphasis within Bactest as a company bringing top flight commercialisation skills for exploitation of the technology platform.
The management team is further supported by a group of highly respected consultants covering a wide range of commercial and technical functions.
