Derek Price

Derek co-founded Bactest and has a history in Chemical Engineering, Immunology, Microbiology and a number of research and development projects including the scale-up of in-vitro techniques for monoclonal antibody production.

In 1984 Derek joined Unilever’s medical products group (Unipath), setting up and managing the Antibody and Reagent Development function for approximately ten years.

Derek has been involved in the design, development and manufacture of a range of immunoassays.

As managing director and founder of Skybio for ten years, Derek has a proven track record in the manufacture, marketing and sales of “Life Science” products to include international distribution, import / export, accounting, and the basic support functions required to operate a commercial organization in the research and diagnostics industry.
