As a low cost instrument for veterinary surgeries seeking the ability to undertake animal blood tests, the Bactest technology represents a simple and inexpensive route to obtaining a full functionality automated septicaemia testing system that is matched to the size and throughput of the local surgery.

Very little training is required to inoculate the culture vessel and tests can be initiated at any time of the day or night.

Since there are no service costs, the operational overhead associated with the test system is negligible. Culture vessels and other associated consumables are billed directly in the cost of the test to the client.

There is the possibility for the development of specific tests such as those for Johne’s disease in cattle.
