By creating technology that is self-sufficient, essentially a self-contained, miniature laboratory, Bactest has removed the barriers associated with large expensive instruments.

Tests can now be performed individually, locally or wherever most appropriate to the test requirement, with all the benefits of automation but without the limitations of a large machine.

The instrument monitors the status of each funtion and the test as a whole and indicates that the test is running correctly. Any error is communicated immediately.

The only external requirement is a small power source.

The culture and test is minitored continuously and reported in real time.
